Terms of Use

Last updated: May 21, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Syneli, a macOS application for local dictation, translation, and text styling. Syneli is operated by David Kuvaev as an individual. By using Syneli, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The Service

Syneli helps you turn speech into text on macOS. Depending on your plan and settings, Syneli may also translate dictated or selected text, or rewrite it into a cleaner, simpler, more structured, or more professional form.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Syneli only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm other people, violate their rights, interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass access, subscription, or usage restrictions.

You may not resell access to Syneli, share subscription access outside your own account, run abusive automated usage, or use the service to create or process illegal, harmful, or rights-infringing content.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Syneli may offer free and paid plans. Free includes local dictation and 10 AI actions per day. Pro includes unlimited dictation plus AI translation and styling. Pricing, trial availability, and included features may change over time.

Purchases may be made through the Apple App Store or through a direct checkout provider such as Paddle. The payment provider used for your purchase processes payment details, taxes, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for that purchase. Syneli does not directly process or store your payment card details.

4. Refunds and Cancellations

App Store purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests are handled by Apple through the standard App Store process. You can manage App Store subscriptions from your Apple account settings.

Direct purchases made outside the App Store are covered by the Syneli Refund Policy. You can cancel a direct subscription through the billing link in your receipt or by contacting support.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the words, recordings, transcriptions, and other content you create or process with Syneli. You are responsible for the content you use with the app and for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to process it.

6. Intellectual Property

Syneli, including its name, app design, website, original software, and related materials, is owned by David Kuvaev or licensed for use in the product. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Syneli or permission to copy, modify, redistribute, reverse engineer, or create a competing service from the app.

7. Accuracy and Availability

Syneli is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Voice recognition, translation, and rewriting may contain mistakes. You should review important text before sending, publishing, or relying on it.

Syneli may change, pause, or discontinue features, and may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, platform changes, connectivity, third-party services, or other issues.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, David Kuvaev will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or similar losses arising from your use of Syneli.

9. Termination

You may stop using Syneli at any time. Access may be suspended or terminated if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users, or create legal, security, or operational issues.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When they change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Syneli after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
